Job summary

Indigo Slate, a Zensar Company, seeks a Global Commodity Manager with Supply Chain in Austin, TX. This hybrid role requires 3 days in office, focusing on market intelligence, supplier risk, and strategic sourcing to secure capacity and optimize total cost.

You will work with procurement, planning, engineering, and finance to implement AI-enabled decision workflows, develop should-cost models, and deliver measurable outcomes across critical categories.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in commodity management, supplier relationship, strategic sourcing, or related field with should-cost modeling and supplier economics.
• Demonstrated experience in supplier assurance, scorecards, qualification, and delivery performance management.
• Proven ability in supply continuity and demand–supply planning, including contingency strategies and capacity alignment.
• Strong client consultancy and change enablement skills, with ability to facilitate decisions and transfer capability to client teams.
• Experience shaping proposals, statements of work, estimates, and RFP responses; translating scope into workplans and milestones.
• Proficiency with analytics and enterprise tools: SQL, Python, Excel; familiarity with SAP Ariba, Coupa, SAP SCM, and cloud collaboration tools.
• Strong facilitation, communication, storytelling, analytical, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain market views, lead-time data, and capacity analyses across commodities.
• Develop should-cost models, cost-driver analyses, and buying–versus–hedge scenarios.
• Translate market and supplier signals into hedge, source, qualification, and escalation recommendations.
• Use licensed market sources and supplier history to create defensible decision baselines.
• Apply predictive analytics and ML to demand forecasting and supplier risk sensing.
• Design AI-supported decision workflows with governance and approval processes.
• Assess supplier capability, capacity, allocation, quality, and performance.
• Support supplier qualification, competitive sourcing, and delivery-adherence processes.
• Build supplier scorecards and structured relationship-management practices.
• Help clients secure priority and capacity ahead of build schedules.
