Qualifications

• Experience in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues of machine tools.
• Knowledge of Heidenhain and/or Siemens control systems.
• Proficient knowledge of electronic and mechanical aspects of CNC machines, preferably 5-axis machines.
• Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics in machine tools.
• Proficiency in using computers.
• Professional Interaction with Customers.
• Microsoft Office knowledge is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Support of customers with telephone and on-site troubleshooting and diagnosis procedure.
• Work in an unsupervised environment to provide installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance services for Hermle's products at customer locations in a timely manner.
• Identification of machine spare parts for quoting purposes.
• Briefing and training of customers.
• Installation of retrofits.
• Periodic overseas travel to Germany for learning the product line and maintaining that product knowledge.
• Working with SAP-Software.
• Daily work time reporting through time management system.
• Weekly submission of service reports as well as expense reports.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested.
