Job summary

Worldwide Clinical Trials in the United States seeks a Senior Project Manager to oversee large, multi-national projects, directing programs and complex projects, while guiding Project Managers and cross-functional teams.

You will collaborate across divisions, manage resources and budgets, and coordinate with Business Development and Contracts for proposals. Travel domestic and international is required; a proven background in clinical development and program leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven 8+ years in clinical pharmaceutical industry with project management
• Experience supervising project staff and budgets
• Strong knowledge of regulatory guidelines

Responsibilities

• May have direct reports
• Accountable for multiple projects simultaneously
• Lead core project team and facilitate their ability to lead the extended and complete project team
• Lead cross-unit coordination both internally and externally, including subcontractors
• Define and manage project resource needs and contingency plans for key resources
• Ensure successful design, implementation, tracking, and revision of project plans for assigned projects
• Promote effective teamwork among project team members
• Resolve conflicts as needed
• Ensure appropriate communication on project-related matters with PM Management
• Meet financial performance targets for the assigned clinical projects
• Ensure project deliverables are met according to both Worldwide Clinical Trials and client expectations
• Initiate improvements to enhance the efficiency and quality of the work performed on assigned projects
• May be the key client contact for assigned projects and clients
• Establish excellent working relationships with client project teams and vendors to ensure client satisfaction and operational excellence
• Ensure that all staff allocated to assigned projects adhere to professional standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) established for clinical research
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
