Job summary

Alnylam Pharmaceuticals seeks a Sr. Manager, Clinical Operations to lead global trial planning and execution from start-up to closeout.

You will guide cross-functional teams, drive stakeholder alignment, and ensure trials finish on time, budget, and in line with GCP and company procedures. This role requires strong leadership, risk management, vendor oversight, and the ability to mentor colleagues while contributing to process improvements across development programs.

Qualifications

• BS/ BA degree is required.
• Minimum 7+ years of clinical research experience in CRO/ biotech/pharma.
• 3-5 years leading end-to-end global clinical trials incl. Phase 3.
• Experience leading global trials outsourced to a CRO and managing trial execution.
• Excellent decision-making, analytical and financial management skills.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional trial teams to develop and execute study operational plans and end-to-end trial execution.
• Accountable for trial delivery including timelines, budget, quality oversight and milestones.
• Oversee CRO/vendor selection, onboarding, contracting, and budget management.
• Identify operational risks and ensure mitigations and contingencies are implemented.
• Ensure trials are compliant with global regulations and internal SOPs; participate in inspections and QA audits.
