Alnylam Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Sr. Manager, Clinical Operations to lead strategic and operational planning for global clinical trials from start-up through closeout.

You will guide cross-functional teams to ensure trials meet timelines, budgets, and regulatory standards. The role requires strong leadership, risk management, and collaboration with R&D, Quality, Finance, and vendor management to drive trial execution and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• BS/ BA degree is required.
• 7+ years of clinical research experience in CRO/Biotech/Pharma on global trials.
• 3-5 years leading end-to-end global trials including Phase 3 registrational trials.
• Experience leading trials outsourced to a CRO and managing execution.
• Excellent decision-making, analytical, and financial management skills.
• Excellent leadership and ability to motivate cross-functional teams.
• Strong planning, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional trial teams to develop and execute study operational plans and deliver end-to-end trial execution.
• Accountable for trial delivery including timelines, budget, quality oversight, milestones and deliverables.
• Oversee CRO and vendor selection, onboarding, contracting, budget management and issue resolution.
• Identify operational risks and ensure mitigations and contingencies are initiated.
• Ensure trials comply with global regulations, GCP and internal SOPs.
• Participate in Health Authority Inspections and QA audits.
• Maintain inspection readiness with R&D Quality oversight.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in study execution and cross-functional collaboration.
• Mentor and onboard Study Management colleagues across teams.
• Interface with Finance, Program Management, Vendor Management, Safety, Data Management, Regulatory, etc.
• Provide budget variance analyses and notify on projected cost overruns/unders.
