Job summary

KYOCERA AVX Components Corporation seeks a skilled Claims Analyst to act as a liaison between the Corporate Insurance team and global locations. The role handles workers’ compensation, cargo, property, auto and other claims, researching First Notice of Loss and coordinating with HR/EHS/Facilities for detailed claim data.

You will review claims for eligibility, compile data, and assist in cost control and risk reduction while maintaining thorough records and reporting to Corporate Accounting.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Accounting/Business Administration/Legal Studies (MBA a plus).
• Minimum of 2 years of insurance/claims handling experience, preferably workers’ compensation.
• Strong analytical skills with heightened problem-solving ability.
• Intermediate/advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Detail oriented with ability to multitask, follow-up, and work within a deadline.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate accident/loss reports and review statements and medical reports.
• Advise and assist departments in investigating claims and obtaining relevant documentation.
• Document conversations and prepare summaries of medical and attorney reports.
• Manage carrier claims relationships and monitor litigated claims.
• Train staff on claims processing procedures, including workers' compensation.
• Identify injury patterns and communicate safety recommendations to reduce injuries.
• Prepare claims reports, data mining, and root cause analyses.
• Track monthly trends and report on claim metrics and financial impact.
