Stony Brook University invites applications for the PRODiG Plus Postdoctoral Fellow in Global Chinese Cultural Studies. The 2-year, non-tenure-track fellowship carries an annual salary of $80,000 plus comprehensive state benefits and a two-year mentored research environment with a modest teaching load (2 courses per year).

Successful candidates join the Department of Asian and Asian American Studies and may transition to a tenure-track Assistant Professorship through an internal promotion

Qualifications

• Eligibility to work in the United States for the full duration of the position without visa sponsorship.
• PhD or relevant terminal degree in East Asian Languages and Cultures, Asian American Studies, Comparative Literature, or closely related discipline.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and inclusive teaching practices.

Responsabilités

• Teach courses related to Chinese/Chinese American literature and diasporic culture.
• Contribute to development of the Center for China Studies and public engagement.
• Participate in a mentored research environment with a two-course-per-year teaching load.
