Job summary

Alcon seeks a visionary Vice President of Global Communications & Public Relations to lead and integrate global messaging across corporate, product, media, and executive communications. The role drives reputation, brand leadership, and stakeholder engagement for a world leader in eye care.

The executive will partner with the CEO and leadership team to shape narratives, manage crises, and advance growth initiatives while ensuring regulatory and compliance alignment across geographies.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in corporate communications, public relations, corporate affairs, or related disciplines.
• Proven success leading enterprise communications strategies for a global organization.
• Experience supporting major product launches, innovation communications, or commercial growth initiatives.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to influence executive leaders and manage complex stakeholder environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive global communications strategy aligned with Alcon's business objectives and growth priorities.
• Shape and steward Alcon's corporate narrative across key stakeholder audiences.
• Lead global public relations strategy and execution.
• Oversee media engagement, executive media preparation, and spokesperson readiness programs.
• Support investor-focused communications with senior leadership and Investor Relations.
• Drive executive visibility and thought leadership programs.
