Job summary

UKG is seeking a Vice President of External Communications to lead the company’s global external reputation and influence strategy, turning the enterprise narrative into market belief that reinforces leadership in Workforce Operations.

Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer, this leader will direct a multi-disciplinary team spanning Product & Technology PR, Industry & Customer PR, International PR, Social, AI Discovery, Thought Leadership & Newsroom, and Analyst Relations, driving growth

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in external communications or related disciplines.
• Significant senior leadership experience in a global external communications organization.
• Proven track record building or transforming a modern communications function.
• Deep expertise in reputation strategy, narrative development, and external storytelling.
• Strong ability to connect reputation strategy to growth and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead global external communications strategy to strengthen UKG’s reputation and leadership.
• Translate enterprise narratives into external conversations and market belief.
• Oversee a multi-discipline external comms function across PR, Social, Thought Leadership, and Analyst Relations.
• Advise the CEO and executive team with an outside-in perspective on external issues.
