Job summary

Alcon is seeking a Senior Communications Specialist for Global Internal Communications in Fort Worth, TX. You will support internal communications across Global Surgical and Vision Care, R&D, GB&I and Digital Health, shaping messages for products and initiatives while guiding change communications.

You’ll draft content, manage campaigns, refine channels, and help maintain brand consistency across regions, while collaborating with a cross-functional team on strategy and execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Associate +6 yrs; MS +0 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• 2 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Drafts internal messages and creates content for key initiatives that impact global businesses and teams.
• Executes internal initiatives including Global Webcasts, Alcon Leadership Meetings, internal campaigns about key product launches, BD&L communications initiatives, integrations and more.
• Supports regions to ensure delivery of relevant global messaging through refinement of communication programs, channels, and measurement to ensure effectiveness.
• Works closely with Senior Director of Franchise Communications on editorial calendars and content alignment, producing story and narrative conception supporting Global Franchise, GB&I, R&D and Digital Health.
• Generates, develops and maintains a relevant corporate asset collateral portfolio including press releases, fact sheets, corporate overview decks and videos; gathers content aligned with business strategy.
• Works with Director, Global Internal Comms to ensure corporate message and brand consistency across GB&I communications.
• Participates as a core member of the Global Internal Comms team, developing strategy and executing tactical planning efforts.
• Participates as a core member of the GB&I team with external communications efforts, including supporting the team in creating and distributing communications (e.g., media releases, panels), coordinating and administering approval processes for communications materials, crafting news stories and original content, and supporting Alcon's Digital Health PR plans.

Senior Communications Specialist – Global Internal Communications

As a Senior Communications Specialist on the Global Internal Communications team, you will support internal communications for Alcon\'s Global Surgical and Vision Care businesses, as well as Research & Development (R&D), Global Business & Innovations (GB&I) and Global Digital teams. You will support the development of communications around products, initiatives, and change management, reaching multiple stakeholders such as Alcon associates, media, patients, consumers and customers. Your work will help define key messages and support change communications critical to Alcon\'s future growth and transformation.

What You\'ll Bring to Alcon

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Associate +6 yrs; MS +0 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• 2 years of relevant experience

Preferred Requirements:

• Ability to demonstrate core writing capabilities through basic competency, quality of work, and adaptability of writing style.
• Prior communications experience in the Life Sciences industry.
• Experience with SharePoint-based Intranet, Viva Engage (Yammer), and Staffbase, or similar platforms; experience with digital analytics of these platforms, a plus.
