Job summary

RTX in Andover, MA is seeking a Materials Engineer to support Global Chemical Substance Operations within our Design and Development team. You will evaluate materials and processes to ensure compliance with global chemical regulations across the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities include material compliance assessments, documentation, data collection from internal teams and suppliers, and identifying compliant substitutes.

Qualifications

• Experience with global chemical regulations (REACH, RoHS, TSCA) required.
• Ability to assess material risks, obsolescence, and substitutions.
• Strong communication across engineering, regulatory, and supply chain teams.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate materials, processes, and components for regulatory compliance.
• Perform material compliance verifications and document results.
• Prepare compliance reports and regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and suppliers to gather data.
• Identify substitutes and maintain chemical substance tracking tools.
• Review BOMs against current regulations to ensure compliance.
