Job summary

Landesa is seeking a Chief Financial and Operations Officer to oversee financial integrity, multi-year planning, and global operations across headquarters and country offices. The CFOO partners with the CEO and leads finance, IT, risk management, and compliance in a multi-currency, multi-jurisdiction environment.

The role emphasizes governance, donor compliance, and scaling operations to advance Landesa's land rights mission, with Seattle preferred and US remote options.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of progressively senior finance and operations leadership experience.
• Experience managing finance/ops for international nonprofit or NGO with multi-country operations.
• Experience with multi-currency budgets and foreign exchange risk.
• Experience with donor compliance and subgrant management.
• CPA, CA, ACCA, MBA or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting for a ~$15M budget across HQ and field offices.
• Lead treasury, banking relationships, and investment of reserves with multi-currency exposure.
• Oversee IT, risk management, and administrative functions for HQ and country offices.
• Ensure donor compliance, grants management, and reporting to funders.
