Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Central Monitoring Manager I in New Jersey to lead a global team delivering high-quality central monitoring for clinical studies. You will drive strategic RBQM execution, collaborate with study teams, and guide staff through coaching, performance reviews, and cross-functional partnerships.

You will oversee staffing, budgeting, and process improvements while ensuring compliance with ICH/GCP and AbbVie policies.

Qualifications

Strong understanding of RBQM and risk-based monitoring in clinical trials.
Proven experience leading front-line teams and coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders.
Excellent communication to drive decisions and coach staff across geographies.

Responsibilities

Deliver best-in-class central monitoring while driving cost efficiencies.
Partner with study teams to implement aggressive execution strategies.
Line manage Central Monitors: staffing, development, contracting, budgeting, hiring, reviews.
Advise and influence Clinical Site Management and cross-functional teams to strengthen RBQM.
Support RBQM systems development for near real-time data analysis and quality.
Champion RBQM across AbbVie, aligning with multi-TA portfolios and development phases.
Ensure compliance with corporate/divisional policies and global regulations.
