Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Central Monitoring Manager I to lead a global team delivering best-in-class central monitoring for multiple studies. You will drive execution strategies, manage staffing and budgets, and collaborate across Clinical Site Management and CDO to ensure data-driven decisions and regulatory compliance.

The role requires RBQM experience, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering high-quality monitoring outcomes in a fast-paced clinical research environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• Minimum of 6 years of clinically related experience
• Experience in RBQM-model or risk-based monitoring preferred
• Knowledge of regulatory guidelines (ICH/GCP) related to clinical trials
• Therapeutic area experience preferred (Neuroscience, Oncology, Immunology, Eye Care, Medical Aesthetics, Women’s Health, GI)

Responsibilities

• Deliver best-in-class central monitoring while driving efficiencies.
• Partner with study teams to implement aggressive execution strategies.
• Line management of Central Monitors and talent development across global teams.
• Influence Clinical Site Management and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Contribute to RBQM systems development and real-time data analysis enhancements.
• Support RBQM processes across the R&D portfolio and across therapeutic areas.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and worldwide regulations and guidelines.
