Job summary

The Nature Conservancy seeks a Carbon Portfolio Director to lead the NCS Accelerator and Carbon Business Incubator, directing a global portfolio of carbon projects and coordinating with senior technical and finance staff. You will drive process improvements, set priorities, and mentor teams while reporting to the Managing Director, Global Carbon Markets; travel about 25% is expected.

This two-year term role requires a Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in process management and carbon

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 7 years related experience or equivalent combination, including 2 years in process management.
3+ years experience developing and managing multiple cross-functional projects and process initiatives.
Experience with carbon markets, ecosystem markets, or international development is desirable.

Responsibilities

Oversee a complex global portfolio of carbon projects during development and incubation.
Identify issues affecting portfolio health and drive continuous improvement.
Lead cross-functional teams, set priorities, and ensure alignment of talent, processes, and tools.
Support relationships with TNC leaders and external audiences to boost portfolio success.
Travel approximately 25% for collaboration and supervision.
