The Nature Conservancy is seeking a Finance Manager, Impact Finance and Markets to deliver advanced financial planning, reporting, and donor-financial stewardship for global programs. You will guide budgeting, forecasting, and analysis across carbon markets and corporate engagement initiatives, ensuring strong internal controls and compliance.

The Impact Finance & Markets division at The Nature Conservancy (TNC) provides technical and strategic leadership to create transformational impact with the private sector by translating the value of nature and conservation approaches into actionable, science-based strategies to help solve societal challenges. The Finance Manager, Impact Finance and Markets (IFM) will provide highly specialized finance/accounting-related services for business units within the Division.
This recruitment will fill two positions within the Impact Finance and Markets Division. One will support the Global Carbon Markets team, and the other will support the Global Corporate Engagement team. The Global Carbon Markets team is dedicated to achieving high environmental and climate integrity across its carbon project portfolio while advancing new Natural Climate Solutions (NCS) pathways. The Corporate Engagement team provides technical leadership to translate the value of nature and conservation into actionable and standards-aligned strategies for companies across the world. The recruitment process will occur simultaneously for both positions.
The Finance Manager will report to the Director of Finance, Impact Finance and Markets.
The preferred location for this position is anywhere within the U.S. This position has the option to be remote, hybrid, or working from a TNC office if one is readily available in the candidate’s location.
Current TNC employees that are interested from Canada and LAR will also be considered.
The Finance Manager provides advanced financial planning, reporting, analysis, compliance and operational finance support for their assigned finance portfolio. The role serves as an experienced finance resource, independently managing complex financial activities, supporting decision-making through analysis and insight, and ensuring the integrity, and compliance of financial data, processes, and controls.

This position may be based in any country where TNC has an established entity, taking into consideration legal restrictions, such as non-national ratios and immigration processing times. For U.S. based applicants only, the starting pay range for this position is generally within the range of $80,000 – $110,000 for annual base salary and is based on location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. For all other applicants, pay ranges will be in local currency, the pay range will be based on the local labor market, and not tied to the above pay range. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment and used to determine your actual pay range. Additionally, for all applicants, actual pay will fall within a range based on a variety of factors including, for example, the candidate’s qualifications, specific skills, and experience.
