Legend Biotech in Somerset, NJ is seeking an Executive Director, Global Program Leader to oversee in vivo CAR-T programs from IND enabling through clinical proof-of-concept and lifecycle management. You will lead cross-functional teams, align strategy with regulatory, manufacturing, and commercial goals, and report to the President of R&D.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in biotech/pharma, 5+ years leading global programs, and a track record in cell/gene therapies, with strong leadership,

Qualifications

• 10+ years in biotechnology/pharma drug development.
• 5+ years leading global development programs.
• Experience advancing biologics/cell therapies through clinical development.
• Experience with global regulatory interactions and submissions.
• Oncology/cell therapy or in vivo gene therapy experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and execution of in vivo CAR-T programs across development lifecycle.
• Develop integrated global development plans aligning science, clinical, regulatory, manufacturing and commercial goals.
• Accountable for program success, timelines, budgets and milestones.
• Drive portfolio decisions based on benefit-risk and investment priorities.
• Lead global clinical development and registration strategies for in vivo CAR-T assets.
• Collaborate with Clinical Development and Regulatory Affairs to optimize pathways to POC and approvals.
• Guide regulatory interactions and major health authority milestones.
• Prepare development scenarios, milestone recommendations, and portfolio reviews.
• Represent Legend Biotech with external partners and stakeholders.
• Mentor program management and foster a high-performance, patient-focused culture.
