Job summary

Trane Technologies in the United States seeks a Category Manager, Capital Equipment, to lead strategic category management and negotiations for Capital Equipment purchases across the organization. You will collaborate with internal partners to map an optimized supply base and deliver value across SBUs.

The role requires 7+ years in procurement/supply chain, a bachelor’s degree, and ideally an MBA, plus global sourcing experience and strong analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, finance, or related field.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in procurement/supply chain.
• Sourcing experience in the development and management of a global supply base.
• Experience within indirect sourcing is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in Category Management.
• Strong analytics experience and problem-solving skills.
• Travel 10-15%.

Responsibilities

• Develop multi-year category strategies for Capital Equipment.
• Lead procurement processes and supplier relationship management.
• Negotiate contracts across the lifecycle to maximize value and minimize risk.
• Collaborate with regional and global procurement teams to drive productivity.
• Build and manage strategic supplier relationships and SRM processes.
• Align supply base with strategic direction and internal partner needs.
• Travel 10-15% as required.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
