Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Senior Category Manager to own the Electronic Controls category, including Tier 2 sub-categories. You will lead strategy, supplier base, and risk management within procurement, collaborating with internal stakeholders and regional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, or related roles with large-scale categories.
• Proven success in negotiating and managing vendors.
• Strong collaboration and communication in a matrixed environment.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Experience with PCBA/electronic controls is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage Tier 2 component cost, supplier relationships, risk, and strategy for Electronic Controls.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to capture category requirements and qualify suppliers.
• Develop category strategy, expand the Preferred Supplier Program, and segment suppliers.
• Lead RFx activities to select suppliers and negotiate contracts.
• Monitor supplier risk and ensure supply continuity.
