Job summary

A leading electric vehicle manufacturer is seeking a Senior Global Supply Manager to lead technical sourcing and commercial development for in-house manufacturing. Responsibilities include managing supplier relationships, driving cost negotiations, and supporting CapEx projects. Qualifications include a relevant degree and 2-4 years of technical sourcing experience. Competitive salary range from $98,500 to $123,100 based on skills and location in Michigan. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Advanced degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business.
• 2-4 years of technical sourcing, capital project procurement experience or similar.
• Controls hardware and/or software experience is highly preferred.
• Managed commercial relationships in an Automotive, Electronics or a similar high-volume manufacturing business.
• Strong understanding of the technology and supplier landscape in automotive manufacturing and industrialization.
• Analytical skills, technical literacy, and attention to detail required to solve complex cross-functional issues.
• Good interpersonal and communications skills, high level of integrity and emotional IQ.
• Experience working and managing projects globally, and flexibility to travel.
• Ability to work independently, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in multiple languages a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Managing industrial automation controls hardware and software, and quality equipment utilizing supplier development.
• Identify technologies, suppliers, assess capabilities, and create sourcing plans.
• Build and maintain unique understanding of supply base and market conditions.
• Lead strategic sourcing events and supplier interfacing.
• Steer contractual negotiations with suppliers and execute Purchase Agreements.
• Support timely and efficient Capex design and execution.
• Drive cost and commercial value negotiations.
• Manage supplier and tiered supplier performance.
• Monitor capex spend forecast and risk with Finance team.
• Work closely alongside Program Management to support program requirements.
• Communicate with senior leadership on key strategic decisions.
• Create should-cost models to build program budgets.
• Drive commercial and business decisions with leadership.
• Expand and support planning of Rivian’s global CapEx supplier footprint.
