Job summary

Amphenol Corporation's Global Manufacturing Capacity Engineer in Raleigh, NC leads capacity planning across the CBS network, translating forecasts into capacity hours, line loading and CapEx needs. You will model ramp plans, bottlenecks, and allocate resources across sites.

Responsibilities include scenario modeling, governance of capacity data, and developing Power BI dashboards. Expect 15–30% travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative/technical field is required.

5+ years of experience in manufacturing capacity planning, industrial engineering, or related roles.
Strong ability to convert forecast/demand into machine, line, labor, and capital requirements.

Responsibilities

Own CBS global manufacturing capacity planning model and provide a single view of demand, capacity, and investments.
Translate forecasts into production hours, line quantities, shifts, and site loadings.
Define standard capacity assumptions including cycle time, OEE, yield, and utilization targets.
Consolidate data across sites (Vietnam, China, Mexico, USA) for consistent comparison.
Maintain short-, mid-, and long-range capacity models by program and site.
Model capacity through NPI and ramp phases with qualification timings and learning curves.
Identify bottlenecks and quantify timing and impact of capacity gaps.
Evaluate alternative site allocations, transfers, shifts, and CapEx tradeoffs.
Translate capacity gaps into equipment/line requirements and readiness needs.
Lead global capacity reviews with IE, Planning, Operations, Finance, and NPI.
