World Wide Metric is seeking a Buyer / Supply Chain Analyst in Branchburg, NJ to own purchasing and inventory for a significant product portfolio and manage international suppliers. This hands-on role requires strong judgment, analytics, supplier management, and independent decision-making.

The Buyer will work with the President for 9–12 months to learn products, suppliers, inventory methodology, and purchasing parameters, then progress toward independent portfolio ownership.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of purchasing/buying experience in industrial distribution or inventory-intensive environments.
• Experience managing inventory and replenishment decisions, not justPO processing.
• Experience negotiating with international suppliers and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• ERP/MRP systems experience; Acumatica is a plus.
• International purchasing/import experience strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Own purchasing and inventory for assigned product lines from planning through delivery.
• Analyze sales history, demand trends, inventory levels, open orders, lead times, branch requirements, and supplier constraints.
• Issue and manage purchase orders with international suppliers.
• Identify backorders, shortages, excess inventory, slow-moving stock, and inventory imbalances.
• Coordinate inventory transfers between branch locations.
• Respond to sales requests involving supplier pricing, lead times, and special quotations.
