Job summary

Career Opportunities International is conducting a confidential search for a Supply Chain Leader in Somerset County, New Jersey. The role oversees demand planning, procurement, production planning, logistics, and master data management to optimize operations and drive cost reductions.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in supply chain leadership, 5+ years supervising teams, and strong SAP MM/SCM experience, with a focus on continuous improvement and strategic supplier management.

Qualifications

• BS degree required; MS in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
• 8+ years of supply chain leadership experience; 5+ years supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, demand planning, production planning, logistics, and inventory management.
• Experience in supplier negotiations and active supplier management.
• ERP expertise, preferably SAP MM/SCM, with data governance experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end supply chain operations including procurement, demand planning, material management, production planning, logistics, and master data management.
• Develop procurement strategies with cross-functional teams (sales, manufacturing, finance, global sourcing).
• Manage supplier base selection, evaluation, development, and performance monitoring.
• Lead negotiations and contracts to support supply continuity, favorable pricing, and long-term partnerships.
• Drive total cost of ownership reductions across materials, logistics, inventory, and terms.
• Oversee inventory management, demand planning, and production planning to align demand with capacity.
• Monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery, inventory turnover, and cost savings initiatives.
• Participate in S&OP to support forecasting and operational alignment.
• Ensure accurate purchasing and inventory data in ERP systems and promote data governance.
• Coach and develop procurement, planning, and supply chain team members.
