Job summary

Crane Company is seeking a Business Development Intern to support the Global Business Line Management team with business analysis, market research, pricing analysis, sales reporting, forecasting, and strategic growth initiatives.

You will collaborate with Global and Regional Business Line Managers, Sales Leaders, and cross-functional teams to collect and communicate critical information that drives growth, profitability, and customer engagement.

Qualifications

• Pursuing B.S. in business, marketing, sales or related field.
• Strong marketing and analytical skills.
• Familiar with sales strategies and product life cycle.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Excellent presentation skills and costumer focus.
• Ability to operate across the business and in different environments/cultures.
• Highly motivated, innovative, and sound negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office software.
• College degree or equivalent educational experience, in a technical or business-related subject e.g. engineering, manufacturing, business systems or marketing
• 2 or more years of business analysis experience
• 2 or more years of Power Bi and Salesforce experience
• Advanced Excel knowledge is a must
• Strong Manufacturing / Supply Chain knowledge
• Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities
• Ability to operate across the business and in different environments and cultures.

Responsibilities

• Market Research for Valve Switchboxes and Positioners to grow organically or inorganically
• Define and Automate Project and Quote win/loss analysis and conduct Hit Rate Analysis to support funnel growth
• Drive pricing efficiency and forecast improvement using data modeling techniques.
• Create Standard Workflow documents for day-to-day reporting processes
• Review market trends and emerging segments to target existing and new product development and growth.
