Ericsson Inc. is seeking a seasoned Business Development Director specializing in the U.S. Defense Sector. This role is based in the U.S. and focuses on expanding Ericsson’s presence in North America, particularly within the defense communications market.

Note: Ericsson Inc. does not sponsor US work visas such as H-1B, O-1, TN, nor hires F-1 students on EAD for this position.

About the Role

As a Business Development Director, you will manage strategic initiatives to drive market development, foster US Defense sector mobile communications innovation, and align with Ericsson’s strategic goals. You will influence how defense organizations leverage mission-critical connectivity for operational excellence and help establish Ericsson as a market leader.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with US local teams to innovate within the Defense sector’s mobile communications ecosystem, supporting the DoD’s FutureG plans.
  • Oversee strategic initiatives to remove barriers, strengthen partnerships, and promote innovation.
  • Engage with senior industry executives to position Ericsson as a leader in MCN innovation.
  • Lead cross-functional teams on high-impact programs, mentoring junior members and building organizational capability.
  • Track and document market development initiatives, ensuring they meet milestones and deliver quantifiable results.
Qualifications
  • Deep understanding of the critical communications market, including industry dynamics, regulations, and ecosystems.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the US Defense market, with proven success in business development and government procurement.
  • Strong strategic vision, analytical skills, and the ability to navigate long sales cycles with resilience.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience working in diverse, multinational environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
