Job summary

SGS, a leading inspection, verification, testing and certification provider, seeks a company assessor to perform bluesign® criteria assessments and ensure ongoing compliance. You will prepare assessments, write reports, and follow up on implementation steps while maintaining the IT tools and processes.

The role requires an engineering/technical degree, knowledge of product stewardship and regulatory affairs, and good English with Spanish fluency.

Qualifications

• Educational background: engineering/ natural science/ technical degree, ideally textile related.
• Knowledge in product stewardship, classification and labelling, and regulatory affairs.
• Knowledge in chemistry and/ or plastic industry manufacturing.
• Knowledge in environment, health and safety and prior auditing experience.
• Professional experience requested.
• Good English skills (especially written).
• Fluent in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Prep of company assessments according to bluesign® criteria.
• Onsite company assessments with report writing and evaluations.
• Follow-up of roadmap for achieving compliance (implementation).
• Maintain business process leading IT tool.
• Perform follow up assessments to monitor continuous improvement.
• Travel occasionally to the US, Canada, and Latin America, if needed.
