Job summary

SGS is a global leader in inspection, verification, testing and certification services. An Engineer will read and implement test standards and perform testing of consumer products in a structured lab environment in the United States.

The role involves preparing tests for consumer, medical and industrial products to current ISTA/ASTM standards, setting up compliance tests, and coordinating with technicians on sample handling and equipment calibration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in the certification, testing industry (preferred).
• Advanced English language skills with strong communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and test consumer, medical and industrial products to ISTA/ASTM standards and implement new standards; work with clients on test plans.
• Assist with compliance test setup and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with laboratory technicians on sample receiving, pretreatment, routine operation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
