Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Senior Director, Biospecimen Management to lead the global biospecimen operations across trials, ensuring high quality, compliant handling and end‑to‑end program delivery within the Consent, Biospecimen & Imaging organization.

This senior leader will build and mentor distributed teams, partner with vendors and stakeholders, and drive strategic initiatives, efficiency, and regulatory excellence in support of R&D objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific/clinical discipline is required.
• Master’s/Doctoral degree preferred.
• 10+ years global experience in clinical drug development with biospecimen management.
• 7+ years leadership experience managing global, cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Biospecimen Management team with accountability for performance and growth.
• Oversee biospecimen management leads across trials, ensuring quality and delivery.
• Drive high-quality, efficient biospecimen management across the BMS trial portfolio.
• Define, track, and report KPIs for biospecimen management capacity and effectiveness.
• Partner with senior leadership on strategic planning and service development.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure vendor performance standards are met.
• Stay current with regulatory guidelines and ensure ethical aspects across processes.
• Oversee resource planning and portfolio management for 100+ studies.
• Travel up to 20% of time.
