Job summary

Merck’s Future Talent Program offers a 10–12 week internship in the Global Safety & Environment team, focusing on biosafety program development and the implementation of biosafety standards across global operations.

You will collaborate with Biosafety Officers, perform data tracking and analysis, update manuals, and contribute to change management for biosafety initiatives, within a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in public health, safety, environmental science, biology or related field.
• Completed at least two years of college coursework.

Responsibilities

• Support biosafety program development and continuous improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with Biosafety Officers on protocol reviews, training materials, and risk assessments.
• Track biosafety events, identify trends, and assist with root-cause analyses for preventive action.
• Maintain biosafety manuals, guidelines, and web content for accuracy and accessibility.
