Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead multiple technical areas across Global Benefits, Mobility, Payroll & Tax, and Pension modernization. You will drive end-to-end technology strategy, security-by-design, and enterprise-grade delivery in a highly regulated environment.

The role requires deep experience in Java/Python on AWS, serverless architectures, IaC, and large-scale cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience.
• 5+ years leading technologists to manage complex items within your domain.
• Experience delivering technology across benefits, payroll, mobility, or HR in a global enterprise.
• Hands-on software development with Java and Python on AWS, including serverless patterns.
• Strong full-stack capability with React/TypeScript and API-first design.
• Experience with IaC and automated CI/CD pipelines with security embedded.

Responsibilities

• Owns end-to-end technology strategy and delivery across Global Benefits and related domains.
• Drives migration of pension systems to modern cloud technologies with data integrity.
• Delivers integration and automation of benefits data with payroll for touchless payroll.
• Leads Global Mobility technology and expatriate payroll partnerships to roadmap needs.
• Sets engineering standards across portfolio with auditable, resilient deployments.
