Sila Nanotechnologies, Inc. is hiring a Senior Staff Global Supply Manager – Battery Cells in the United States.

You will drive the commercial engine behind new product introductions, scale battery architectures, and shape a global supply strategy with suppliers across regions. You will lead complex negotiations, develop multi-year commodity plans, and own bottom-up cost models to deliver cost reductions while ensuring material availability for NPI and mass production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 8–12 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, or supply chain.
• Familiarity with Li-ion manufacturing processes and cell contract manufacturing models.
• Proven track record negotiating international supply agreements and pricing formulas.
• Advanced cost modeling, manufacturing economics, and data-driven decision making.
• Leadership, entrepreneurial, and collaborative; translate engineering needs into commercial solutions.
• Global travel 25–30% required.

Responsibilities

• Pioneer and scale advanced technologies (NPI sourcing) across teams.
• Enable new products by leading NPI from concept to scale.
• Roadmap alignment of technology with supplier capabilities.
• Industrialization: qualify supplier readiness and tooling.
• Drive Clear-to-Build management across multi-tier supply chains.
• Strategic sourcing: multi-year commodity strategy and capacity.
• Lead complex negotiations (MSAs, SOWs, capacity reservations).
• Develop innovative commercial models for resilient supply base.
• Cost ownership: bottom-up cost models and DFc initiatives.
• Improve BOM cost, monitor material indices, and tariffs.
• Market intelligence on dynamics, capacity trends, pricing.
• Duty minimization and trade-cost optimization across routes.
• Supply chain resilience: dual-sourcing and multi-region networks.
• Global compliance mapping with FEOC, NDAA, Battery Passport standards.
