Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of product certification with hands-on testing experience.
• 3–5 years of team leadership or management experience.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply global battery-related regulations and standards (UL 2580, UL 1973, UL 9540/9540A, IEC 62133, IEC 62619, UN 38.3, SAE) to certify products.
• Oversee certification efforts and manage third-party testing and certification for battery components (CE, RoHS, REACH, etc.).
• Maintain a compliance roadmap aligned with product development and market expansion.
• Delegate testing tasks to engineers to maximize efficiency and timelines.
• Guide engineering on compliance during design and integration.
• Collaborate with quality and supply chain on supplier compliance and qualifications.
• Coordinate with internal and external logistics on safe handling and shipping requirements.
• Review design docs, materials, and safety features for electrical, mechanical, and thermal safety.
• Liaise with certification bodies, regulatory agencies, and testing labs.
• Train engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams on battery compliance requirements.
• Support inquiries related to safety, certifications, and regulatory approvals.
