Job summary

Bank of America is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to provide full-service legal advice on fixed income derivatives, futures, and clearing activities within Global Markets.

The role involves negotiating ISDA master agreements, advising on regulatory requirements under CFTC/SEC rules, and coordinating with global partners to manage legal risk and support strategic business initiatives.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in related field is required.
• 4+ years of experience at a major law firm, bank, or similar institution.
• Familiarity with fixed income derivatives products and clearing activities.
• Experience with regulatory examinations and investigations.

Responsibilities

• Drafts, reviews, negotiates, and advises on ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support documentation, and other derivatives-related agreements.
• Advises on regulatory requirements for swap dealers, futures, and clearing activities under CFTC/SEC rules.
• Supports development and implementation of U.S. Treasury and other fixed income clearing initiatives.
• Collaborates with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Credit, and business partners globally to support derivatives activities.
• Communicates clear, business-informed legal advice to leadership.
