Job summary

Wayve in London or Sunnyvale is seeking a Global Head of AV Driver Training to own the strategy, standards, and operating model for how the company trains, certifies, and develops its on-road safety workforce—from Vehicle Safety Operators to the teams that support them.

You will build scalable curricula, define certification pathways, and prove with data that training improves readiness, safety, and performance across geographies.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in training, capability development, operations enablement, or workforce readiness in a safety-critical environment.
• Proven ability to design and scale training programmes across multiple sites, regions, or countries.
• Experience translating operational, product, or safety requirements into practical training content, standards, and readiness criteria.

Responsibilities

• Own global training strategy, standards, and operating model across all geographies.
• Define scalable curricula, onboarding pathways, and certification frameworks for on-road and maintenance operational roles.
• Own operational readiness - ensuring operators meet performance and safety thresholds before live on-road deployment.
• Build and maintain rapid training updates from product changes and safety insights.
• Establish and own metrics and reporting to prove training effectiveness and readiness - prioritise interventions.
• Manage and develop Regional Training Leads, ensuring global consistency with local adaptability.
