Nissan is seeking a Buyer 1, PPM in Farmington Hills, MI, to support sourcing, cost reduction, and strategic purchasing for assigned commodities. The role involves analyzing data, preparing reports, and coordinating with internal teams and suppliers to drive procurement objectives and process improvements.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with up to 2 years of experience (or 8 years in lieu of a degree), and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 0 to 2 years of experience, or 8 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
• If holding an Associate’s degree, candidates must have 4 additional years of equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• The ability to work on-site in Farmington Hills, MI.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsabilités

• Negotiate commodity pricing and support cost reduction initiatives to achieve departmental goals.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies, evaluate suppliers, and recommend the most competitive sourcing solutions.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and engineers to understand commodity requirements and ensure alignment with business needs.
• Manage contracts, purchase orders, cost reduction plans, and savings validation for assigned commodities.
• Monitor supplier performance and departmental objectives, coordinating cross-functional issue resolution and implementing mitigation actions as needed to meet quality, cost, delivery, and timing targets.
