Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Project Manager to join our Flexible Automation team in Grand Rapids, MI. You will lead automation projects, coordinate cross‑functional teams, and serve as the main customer contact, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of PM experience, a related bachelor’s degree, and strong MS Office/ERP skills. Expect active collaboration, leadership responsibilities, and up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Finance, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of project management experience.
• Experience leading people or processes.
• Experience in project management, product development lifecycle, or process management.
• Experience managing automation projects that include AGVs, AS/RS, conveyors, WMS, etc.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall teams and project items for automation projects.
• Develop and manage multiple concurrent project schedules and monitor progress daily.
• Serve as primary customer contact on projects.
• Identify and manage scope, time, risk, and stakeholders to ensure delivery.
• Communicate project status, resource use, and schedule to execs and teams.
• Monitor and maintain financial performance of projects.
• Align cross‑functional teams to meet goals and resolve conflicts.
• Proactively remove obstacles and drive momentum and results.
• Monitor milestones and deliverables to closure.
• Provide regular status updates to leadership and project teams.
• Document problem resolutions and process improvements.
• Follow up on open issues and action items to ensure resolution.
