Smithfield Foods is seeking a highly skilled automation professional to lead controls, robotics, and machine vision initiatives across global operations. You will drive standardization of architectures, collaborate with U.S. and China teams, and ensure regulatory compliance and project success.

The role emphasizes technology evaluation, supplier audits, and leadership on strategic capital projects, with extensive travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, Automation, Robotics or related field plus 5+ years in industrial automation.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, industrial networks, and controls architectures.
• Experience working with global engineering teams and OEMs; travel required.

Responsabilités

• Lead qualification, validation, and testing of automation, robotics, and machine vision systems.
• Develop and standardize controls architectures, PLCs, HMIs, and networks.
• Collaborate with U.S., China, and WH Group teams to transfer and adapt technologies.
• Evaluate supplier and system risks early in the project lifecycle.
• Lead capital projects as controls/automation lead and SME for implementation.
