Job summary

IGT seeks an experienced Manager, Capital Assets & Lease Accounting to lead global accounting for tangible and intangible assets, capital projects, and lease activity under U.S. GAAP.

You will drive month-end close, strengthen internal controls, and partner with Real Estate, FP&A, Tax, Legal, and Procurement to standardize processes across regions. This hands-on leader will oversee depreciation, impairment, software capitalization, ASC 842 lease accounting, and acquisitions-related asset

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including fixed assets, capital projects, lease accounting, or corporate accounting.
• Experience managing or developing accounting professionals.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP for property, plant and equipment, capitalization, depreciation, impairment, internally developed software, and ASC 842 lease accounting.
• Experience with month-end and quarter-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and reporting for tangible and intangible capital assets, capital projects, and lease-related assets and liabilities.
• Manage the fixed asset lifecycle: additions, capitalization, depreciation, transfers, disposals, impairments.
• Oversee CIP and capital project balances with timely capitalization and service placement.
• Oversee accounting for internally developed software and technology investments.
• Oversee global lessee accounting activities for real estate and equipment leases per ASC 842.
• Partner with Real Estate, Procurement, Legal, and regional Finance to reflect new leases and changes in records.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close for capital assets and leases.
