Job summary

RECARO Aircraft Seating is seeking a supplier quality engineer to help develop a global supplier base by evaluating core competencies, capacity and process controls while ensuring AS9100 compliance. Ongoing management of performance metrics, onsite evaluations and corrective actions are part of the role.

Travel will be approximately 60% domestically and internationally to audit suppliers, train vendors, monitor KPI trends, and drive continuous improvement in quality and delivery within a complex

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• AS9100/AS14001 knowledge and auditor qualifications.
• Aviation industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure supplier/product/process compliance with RECARO's quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop suppliers by guiding compliance to technical/quality specs and driving corrective actions.
• Perform supplier audits including planning, announcement, and follow-up of actions.
• Travel approx. 60% domestically and internationally to evaluate supplier performance and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with SPC & SPG to evaluate potential suppliers and support supplier approvals.
• Train and coach suppliers to meet process requirements and understand BOMs, drawings and quality requirements.
• Monitor supplier quality performance and KPI trends, maintaining quality statistics.
• Lead major quality issue resolution between RECARO and suppliers.
