Job summary

3M is seeking an Application Engineer to join the global team in Maplewood, MN, working on the flexographic and splicing tape materials platform. You will participate in cross-functional teams, gather customer feedback, and help commercialize growth products.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or higher and at least 2 years in application engineering or related labs, with travel up to 25% and on-site work. Relocation may be authorized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Two (2) years of application engineering, laboratory technology and technology development in a private, public, government or military environment.

Responsibilities

• Participating in cross functional teams to support development efforts in the flexographic and splicing tape materials platform, gathering critical customer feedback and supporting the commercialization of key growth products.
• Oversees and runs product testing laboratory and equipment.
• Acts as a liaison between 3M and 3rd party testing and certifications laboratories.
• Assists in determining the competitive landscape for the overall global market.
• Supports the global business and sales teams and provides key training and awareness to the global application engineering team members.
