Job summary

3M is seeking a Specialist Product Support Engineer in the Industrial Adhesives & Tapes division, based at the Maplewood, MN site. You will apply advanced technical expertise to lead product support and improvement programs, collaborate with global teams, and strengthen product performance and reliability.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Materials/Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry and at least seven years’ experience in related engineering roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials/Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry (completed and verified prior to start)
• Seven (7) years of experience in product engineering, process engineering, project engineering, project management, and/or research laboratory in a private, public, government or military environment

Responsibilities

• Being a member of an IATD division-wide, global R&D team leading technically complex product support and product improvement programs
• Serving as a recognized technical resource for Structural and Sprayable Adhesives product families
• Leading or providing key technical leadership on cross-functional teams
• Driving product improvement and change management projects including NPI support and lifecycle management
• Identifying and recommending new opportunities for product enhancement and differentiation
• Influencing technical decisions and resource priorities with data-based recommendations
• Establishing and maintaining strong global networks across technical, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, marketing, and business teams
