Lufthansa Cargo in the United States seeks a warehouse operations specialist to support the local/regional plan and coordinate the world-wide handling strategy. You will help ensure efficient cargo flow, safety, and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes cost analysis, performance monitoring, and subcontractor oversight, with opportunities to manage mail, DGR procedures, and flight/truck logistics. 3–6 years in export/import warehouse ops are required and US work authorization is necessary.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of aircraft ground operations is a plus.
• Experience in warehouse and logistics management is essential.
• Strong problem solving and attention to safety and quality are expected.
• Legal U.S. work permit is required; willing to work shifts.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the local/regional operations business plan and measures for the global handling strategy.
• Assist in cost/budget analysis and performance tracking.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and initiate corrective actions when needed.
• Handle mail OAL, DGR storage, DGR training, FAA and TSA regulations, and warehouse/weight/volume checks.
• Follow Quality Manual procedures and promote a preventative culture using the available tools.
• Assist in managing all warehouse tasks and documentation (flight/truck handling, cargo storage, acceptance and delivery).
• Takeover of additional tasks when required.
