Job summary

SC Johnson & Son, Inc. is seeking a Senior Associate, Chemistry to develop Air Care products across liquids, candles, gels, powders, and aerosols for global markets. You will apply hands-on formulation expertise and work cross-functionally with RD&E, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Regulatory teams to deliver consumer-focused innovations.

You will design experiments, evaluate formulations, and scale from lab to production while ensuring regulatory and sustainability requirements across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related science; 5+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's with 3+ years.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize innovative formulations for Air Care across multiple technologies to meet consumer needs and improve product performance in international markets.
• Collaborate with regional RD&E teams, Marketing, Manufacturing, Procurement, Regulatory, fragrance houses, suppliers, and other external partners.
• Plan, conduct, and coordinate product testing, including stability, micro challenge, toxicological, clinical, and performance testing; maintain lab records and technical documentation.
• Transfer formulations from laboratory scale to pilot and first production runs across markets.
