Job summary

BSI seeks an AI Technical Manager in Global Quality & Accreditation to lead regulatory and accreditation efforts for AI across the globe. You will manage AI schemes, ensure policy compliance, and guide assessment teams while representing BSI in industry forums.

The role is homebased with travel, covering Europe, UK and US regions, and involves shaping regulatory strategy, standards alignment, and certification activities for AI products and services.

Qualifications

• BSc or higher in AI, engineering, information technology or equivalent.
• Minimum four years in conformity assessment, quality management, software, or policy.
• One year of AI-related regulatory exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AI conformity schemes globally under ISO17021/17065/ISO17025 and EU AI Act requirements.
• Lead development of conformity activity to prove AI tech and processes meet regulations and standards.
• Ensure policies and documentation align with current AI regulatory obligations.
• Direct NB, AI Services and AIMS teams to maintain high expertise and rigor.
• Provide policy input on AI technical assessments and related certification schemes.
• Represent BSI in AI events, forums and stakeholder groups.
