Job summary

Abaka AI is hiring a Project Manager to own the full lifecycle of data projects, from scoping to delivery. You will bridge clients, internal teams, and external partners to ensure high-quality datasets and data pipelines for AI teams.

As an early member of the US operations team, you will shape delivery standards, workflow efficiency, and the client experience while collaborating with global partners. Fluency in Mandarin and English is required, with a focus on cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in project management, operations, or related roles.
• Mandarin Chinese and English proficiency required due to China-based vendors.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clients to clarify requirements, define scope, build detailed plans and budgets.
• Lead end-to-end project execution, including scheduling, tracking, and risk management.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, suppliers and internal teams.
• Collaborate with technical teams to set priorities and remove roadblocks.
• Manage and deliver annotated datasets and other outputs per client specs and timelines.
• Continuously evaluate workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Develop scalable solution frameworks addressing client needs.
