Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Product Development engineer to lead global aftertreatment TVM initiatives for gasoline and diesel vehicles. You will drive cost reduction from concept to production and work with Aftertreatment, Exhaust Design, Calibration, and Certification teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and 2+ years in emissions or aftertreatment. A hybrid arrangement with onsite collaboration is offered, with opportunities to influence worldwide

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is required.
2+ years of experience in aftertreatment development or related coursework.
2+ years identifying and resolving emissions issues related to calibration, controls, or exhaust systems.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead global aftertreatment TVM initiatives for gasoline and diesel vehicles, driving cost reduction ideas from concept to production.
Plan and manage TVM projects through testing and implementation with cross-functional teams.
Facilitate weekly cross-functional meetings to align priorities and drive testing plans.
Prepare and present monthly updates in Chief Engineer reviews.
Coordinate vehicle emissions data analysis to assess tailpipe emissions and inform technical recommendations.
Define best-in-class aftertreatment systems that meet worldwide emission standards.
