Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a fuel systems EVAP D&R engineer to drive design, validation and integration of EVAP components across programs. You will lead canister performance testing (including BETP) and manage system engineering within the EVAP architecture for vehicle platforms.

The role requires proficiency with Ford’s PLM tools, data-driven decision making, and strong communication. Collaboration with suppliers and cross-functional teams is essential to meet milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering or related field.
• At least 2 years of design and release experience.
• Understand and utilize Ford’s PLM processes, version control, data release, and change management.
• Proficiency with D&R tools and applications (Teamcenter, FEDE, 8D, DFMEA, DVP&R, PV, APQP) and software (Minitab, Excel).
• Self-starter with excellent communication; able to plan across vehicle platforms and drive deliverables.
• Strong problem solving using data-driven approaches.
• Familiarity with fuel system components, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, validation, and launch of fuel system EVAP components.
• Lead canister performance testing (including BETP) for EVAP programs.
• Manage system engineering and integration into EVAP architecture and vehicle platforms.
• Manage design rules and design guides for related components.
• Support tech club reviews to ensure design requirements are met.
• Support issue resolution with supplier data collection and analysis for root cause and corrective actions.
• Manage component and system level validation testing for signoffs and milestones.
• Communicate status and issues to senior management and program teams.
