Job summary

Caterpillar in Pontiac, IL is seeking an Engineering professional to design and improve production processes for aftertreatment manufacturing of large engine catalytic converters. You will lead, supervise, and collaborate with operations teams to ensure safety, quality and environmental compliance while optimizing equipment and processes.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial/Mechanical/Design).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial/Mechanical/Design) or related discipline.
• Collaborative Automation knowledge and cobots deployment.
• Engineering - MFG: manufacturing environment knowledge and ability to design and implement processes.
• Manufacturing Processes: knowledge of manufacturing methods and processes.
• Problem Solving: ability to anticipate and resolve problems.
• Project Management: plan, organize, monitor and control projects.
• Welding fabrication experience.
• Print reading (GD&T) expertise.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and implementing enhancements and modifications to complex manufacturing operations equipment and processes.
• Monitoring sophisticated equipment and process reliability; identifying and addressing problem areas.
• Providing direct supervision, coaching and development for operations technical staff and support areas.
• Leading engineering support on planning, development, operation, and maintenance of equipment, processes, or facilities.
