Job summary

South Dakota State University in Brookings is seeking a Coordinator for International Admissions to guide international applicants through the admissions process and support their matriculation. The role sits within the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management and involves collaboration with agents, international partners, and campus offices.

The 12-month, full-time position is benefits-eligible and located in Brookings, SD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree by start date.
• At least 1 year of relevant international education or admissions experience.
• Experience with CRM/SIS systems.
• Experience with student visas and SEVIS.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Valid driver’s license and US passport or ability to obtain both within 30 days.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Carry out international enrollment priorities and communicate proactively with applicants.
• Manage progression of applicants through each stage of the admission process.
• Support conversion, yield, and matriculation of admitted students.
• Work with external stakeholders and manage IT systems and data (CRM, SIS).
• Occasionally participate in overseas recruitment fairs and related activities.
