Job summary

Metrea seeks an experienced Accounts Payable leader to manage a 5–10 person team and streamline global AP processes. You will align policies with local regulations while driving automation, controls, and scalability across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and other regions.

You will partner with Accounting, Treasury, and Procurement to resolve complex issues, improve workflows, and deliver reliable payment operations. A strong ERP background and multilingual collaboration are valued.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive Accounts Payable and procure-to-pay experience.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing AP teams.
• Experience supporting multinational or multi-entity organizations.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 5-10 Accounts Payable professionals across multiple geographic regions.
• Oversee end-to-end accounts payable operations for legal entities spanning North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and other emerging jurisdictions.
• Establish and maintain standardized AP policies, procedures, and controls while accommodating local regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous process improvement initiatives focused on automation, efficiency, internal controls, and scalability.
• Manage global payment operations and partner closely with Treasury to support payment execution, liquidity planning, and cash forecasting.
• Maintain oversight of vendor onboarding processes, banking validations, fraud prevention controls, and supplier master data governance.
• Partner with Accounting, Procurement, Treasury, Tax, and operational teams to resolve complex AP issues and improve business processes.
• Develop key AP performance metrics, including invoice cycle times, aged liabilities, discount capture, exception volumes, and payment timeliness.
• Develop and maintain global AP standard operating procedures, training materials, and control narratives.
